About The Summer Festivities
We are a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in Scotland. A willing committee of people from the local area volunteer their time and expertise preparing and planning all year round to put on our extensive range of events over the spring and summer months.Through funding assistance and sponsorship from Dumfries and Galloway Regional Council, Kirkcudbright Common Good Fund, and from every business in the town, the Summer Festivities have continued to expand particularly over the past 7 years; not only entertaining locals, but 10's of thousands of visitors.
The aim of the Summer Festivities is to work alongside other local organisations to give all members of the community an opportunity to be involved in both visual and performing arts, either as participants or as an audience, and to help make Kirkcudbright a vibrant, exciting and entertaining place to live, visit and work.
