Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities

A complete guide to the summer's events in the town

Welcome to the Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities Website

As one of Scotland’s most popular holiday spots it is no surprise that a programme of summer festivities and events has been provided for almost 40 years.

The first festival was a small affair over a few weeks in the summer and over the years it has continued to grow not just in length but also in its reputation and stature. Our events now commence at the beginning of May, involve a 4 day Jazz Festival in June and continue throughout the summer with a final flourish of a Grand Parade and magnificent Tattoo at the end of August.

During the course of the summer we will have a magnificent series of events and hope to attract crowds in larger numbers than ever before. We believe we have compiled a list of events which will be particularly diverse with something to suite all ages and tastes. See our What's On Guide for a list of dates and events.
